The Weekend Gamer
Thoughts on gaming culture, living among non-gamers, and growing up in the nintendo generation

The Weekend Wrapup (November 9th-11th)

So this weekend had designs to swallow me whole without mercy or thought for my meek plea for gaming time, but I valiantly fought off the beast and managed to scrape out a couple of hours here and there.

Most of my time was spent playing Call of Duty: 4 multiplayer.  I’m really enjoying it, and the leveling up is everything I could have hoped for.  It has that extra addictive quality that makes you want to play “one more game”.

I even got the chance to play a little with Kiras last night and show him the ropes.  By the end he was outdoing me without too much effort.  I would love to party up with any of you who happen to have the 360 version.  Hit me up with an invite if you like.

I also got the chance to show Rachel Peggle yesterday, which went well.  She enjoyed herself and together we beat all ten levels in the Orange Box demo.  She also made a Katamari Damacy reference at lunch yesterday.   I think she may have come down with something…;)

So how about you?  What games did you actually play this weekend?

  1. Well, I did fairly well catching up on some LotRO last night. I managed to finish all but 10% of 1 DD quest (2 battle-masters left). Also dingged 38.

I am really dissapionted that my Orange Box games are no longer working. I get an error trying to play HL2 and TF2 won’t connect to any servers!! I just finally got an account on thier support forums that I can post with, hopefully someone will know what to do. I already tried a reinstall, hopefully that didn’t kill my saved games!

  2. I really enjoyed playing some CoD 4 with our friendly WG last night. I cant wait to load the game back up and create my own character now that i’ve opened that access up. Here’s to hopefully some more glorious Multiplayer with WG@!
