Microsoft Will Ban You if You Play Halo 3 Early

UPDATE:  Ban Hammer rescinded!  Pro-G got a return phone call from another MS agent, who informed them that the ban is only in place for MS employees who play the game early.  You may go back to trying to trick your local Gamestop employees into selling you the game without fear.

Yup…that’s right–Big Brother knows. Microsoft confirmed to Pro-G.co.uk today that players would be bannedif they played Halo 3 before the street date. Apparently, even if you only play the single player campaign while signed out of Xbox Live, the next time you sign on your console’s “games played” information will be able to be read by Microsoft, including when you played it. Consider yourself warned, and please–don’t play Halo 3 until September 25th unless you’re willing to sacrifice going on Live again…ever. ;)
