Seven Days of Insanity

With the impending meteor of the apocalypse that is Halo 3 perched ominously in our atmosphere, most heads are turned upward to the eerie glow of doom that has blocked out many lesser stars as it hurdles to earth. One such star is Eternal Sonata, an RPG for the 360 with a decidedly musical flair which should be hitting stores right…about…now. Critics are split on the visuals, which are stunning but have a cartoon look to them. But even if the look is not your cup of tea, the narrative is unique and it’s worth checking out.

Others are taking advantage of everyone’s distraction, using their economic savvy to close the deal on what can only be described as a new low (or is that high?) for Real Money Trade. Hmm…down payment on a house…or…

Speaking of the previously mentioned meteor of hype, I have already begun to be vindicated in regards to my fears about the newest Halo 3 T.V. spots. And…as everyone is aware, any apocalypse worth it’s salt happens to the British (28 days later, V for Vendetta, Children of Men, I could go on and on…). Fortunately, England always manages to “soldier on”, and in Halo 3’s case, the government is taking no chances.

While this may seem like a boneheaded move, it’s all for the public good. Besides, it was the perfect day to call off a midnight launch, whilst under the shadow of other, more glaring PR blunders.

Still, even with all this news, the fact remains that there are seven whole days left before Halo 3 starts revolving in your disc tray. What can you do to pass the time? Well, just do what I did yesterday, and sign up for Hellgate: London Beta. Because as we all know, every apocalypse worth its salt happens to the Brit…yeah yeah, you get it.

  1. I can’t help laugh everytime I see the Hellgate: London logo, becuase my brain for some reason thinks it has something to do with the Doctor Who spin off Torchwood.

  2. Just so you know, there is a deal at gamestop where if you pre-order Hellgate you get into the beta…or so they claim. I have pre-ordered it and I have yet to receive an invite, which is actually making me pretty upset.
